Code of Conduct
Below are a list of rules to follow to help everyone have a safe and happy experience here in the group!
Feel free to post as many items per day as you would like! But please, make sure to post each item only ONCE and into the appropriate category!
You are asked to sell in order of interest. Please go in order of those who have commented first, and please give members 12 hours to respond before moving on to the next person. We have lots of members who work 12+ hour shifts and aren't always able to check back right away.
Tagging someone in a post does NOT count as a place in line for the item! However, asking a question about the item DOES count as being in line for it. You may also comment things like "Interested", "Want", "In line please", etc. to let the seller know you are interested.
NEW RULE Buyers are asked NOT to offer a lower price in the comments section of a post. Instead, we ask that you post that you are interested and then PM the seller if you want to discuss a lower price. We ask this because we want the seller to have the possibility of getting their original asking price, and if they agree to go lower in the comments and then the buyer backs out they are stuck at that lower price. So please, post that you're interested and then PM the member to offer a lower price.
Please be kind to one another, and please keep any agreements you make regarding a sale.
Please do NOT post multiple photos of an item! You may, however, add more photos of the item in the comments section of your post!
Please do not forget to change the "Status" of your item once a sale is pending or the item gets sold. All items that are marked "Sold" will automatically be deleted after 7 days.
You are NOT allowed to sell illegal items, baby formula, anything that a store would require an ID for, replicas, weapons, drugs or alcohol, fakes of any kind, weight loss supplements (including ItWorks products), coupons, tickets listed "Not for Resale", or anything that is recalled or expired. Please see the Admin Tips section for a more detailed list of prohibited items. Also along these lines, we ask that you do NOT try to recruit members for sales of any kind (i.e.: Mary Kay, ItWorks, Thirty One, Tupperware, etc.) *** We are adding Designer bags/purses to our list of items not allowed to be sold on here, as there are too many fake ones that are being passed off as real... (3-20-16)***
ALL photos should include a description of the item, price and location of the seller or where the seller is willing to meet. Please include some kind of price with your item, either negotiable or firm (i.e., $10 negotiable, $5 firm).
You may "Bump" your post to bring it back to the top of the feed once every 24 hours. When your post is available to be bumped, a button will appear to allow you to bump it. Commenting on an item will no longer bring it back to the top.
"Snaking" of a sale (i.e. offering to pick it up sooner, offering more money for the item, etc. in order to receive preference from the seller) is NOT ALLOWED!
Please remember that this is a public group. The information you give can be seen by anyone on Facebook. So please keep that in mind when posting personal information such as contact info. For this reason we ask that once a sale is agreed upon, that you finalize and trade your meeting information in a private message and not publicly in the group. We are not responsible and cannot be held liable for anything except page maintenance.
This group operates on a "Buyer Beware" basis, please make sure you thoroughly check over an item and it's condition before handing over the cash. If it is not as it was described in the post, you are NOT required to buy it. Once purchased, the item is yours and we cannot make a seller refund your money if you decide later that you are unhappy with it. Sellers, also please make sure you meet in a safe public place and make sure to trade information (including a cell phone number) with your buyer just in case!
Please remember that ALL meets buying or selling MUST be done in Monroe County... Members asking to meet in other Counties risk being removed from the site.
