Course objectives
The course enables students to discover what business communication is all about, why communication skills are essential to their career, how social and mobile technologies are revolutionizing business communication, and how they can adapt their communication experiences in life and the university to the business world.
While business information can be used to obtain competitive advantage, it should be done so in ways that consider ethical and legal parameters. The course brings awareness to these parameters to foster a conscious decision in making communication choices.
By applying a 3-step process it further aims to develop and improve student skills in the vital area of planning, writing, and completing business messages, as well as delivering effective business presentations.
