UCM and State Fair Community College (SFCC) announced new articulation agreements that will allow students enrolled in SFCC’s Associate of Fine Art (AFA) in Theatre programs to seamlessly transfer to UCM’s Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre programs.

Members of the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leadership Missouri program toured the Missouri Innovation Campus (MIC) at UCM Lee's Summit this week. After a welcome by UCM President Roger Best, the cohort toured the facility and learned about our technology, workforce development and MIC programs. Additionally, they were able to experience our state-of-the-art extended reality lab and nursing simulation areas.The Leadership Missouri program aims to foster strong leadership skills in individuals across the state for brighter futures and stronger communities. University of Central Missouri (UCM) leaders expressed their appreciation for Missouri Governor Mike Parson and state legislators for developing a $51.7 billion Fiscal Year 2025 state budget that allocates a net core appropriation of $64 million to UCM. This represents an increase of nearly $1.9 million in expected revenue to UCM for FY 2025, bringing the University’s overall total operating budget to $178.4 million.The 2025 state budget provides UCM with a 3 percent increase in core funding versus the previous fiscal year. Additionally, it includes MoExcels funding for the Extended Reality project at the UCM Lee's Summit location. The project was ranked number one on the state legislature’s MoExcels candidate funding list. Also included was the final $9.95 million in funding for the completion of the renovation and modernization of the Humphreys Building at UCM’s Warrensburg campus. This final installment comprises 100 percent financing by the state of Missouri for the $39.8 million project.
