There aren’t many feelings better than starting a new save, working hard to earn an income and then immediately deciding to use sims 4 cheats to get more simoleons. This is a rite of passage for simmers all around the world and we all deserve to know every cheat that’s available in the game.

EA makes it pretty easy to cheat in The Sims 4 with there being cheats for just about everything out there. There are money cheats, promotion cheats, skill cheats, and so much more. There are honestly hundred of different sims 4 cheats that you may need to improve your storylines and gameplay.

How to Enable Cheat Codes

Before you can actually use most of these sims 4 cheats you’re going to need to make sure that you have enabled your cheats. This is done through using the testingcheats true cheat code which is easy to remember but how you open the cheat box is going to be different depending on the system you’re playing on.

How to Enable Sims 4 Cheats on PC

Before you can use most of these cheats codes you are going to need to first enable cheats and learn how to open the cheat dialogue box.

To open the cheat box you want to hit ctrl + shift + c on your keyboard, or press all 4 triggers on console. This will open a white box at the top of your screen where you can type in cheat codes. You then need to enable cheats by typing in testingcheats true and hitting enter. If it works, the game will let you know by saying cheats are enabled.

A lot of sims 4 cheats don’t work unless you enable cheats first, so it’s best to just enable them before using any cheats to ensure that they are working properly. If you need to close the box you’ll just want to hit ctrl + shift + c again.

How to Enable Sims 4 Cheats on Console

When you are playing The Sims 4 on either Xbox or Playstation, you also have access to cheats. In order to enable cheats for a console player you need to hold down all four triggers on your controller until a small, thin white box appears in the top left hand corner where you will input your cheats.

When this box opens you can then type in testingcheats true and hit enter to enable cheats so you can ensure your cheats are working properly. To close the box you’ll want to hit all four triggers again.

How to Enable Sims 4 Cheats on Mac

Since a Mac computer has a bit of a different keyboard than a PC, you need to know how to enable cheats on Mac as well. Instead of ctrl + shift + c on a PC, you’ll want to hit command + shift + c on your keyboard and a small white box will open in the top left hand corner of the screen.

Then, to enable cheats to make them work you’ll want to type testingcheats true into that box and hit enter to enable cheats so that they will work. To close up the cheat box just hit command + shift + C again.

Money Sims 4 Cheats

Before you are able to enter any of these cheat codes, make sure that you are enabling cheats in your game.

These money cheats are going to give you any amount of money you want, or allow you to purchase a house without spending a dime. These are some of the most popular cheats in The Sims 4 and for good reason.

Individual Money Sims 4 Cheats Explained

Just seeing cheat codes can be a bit confusing if you’re a new player, so it’s nice to take a bit of time to explain them. There are simple explanations below that will help you understand how to use these amazing sims 4 cheats for money.

Free Real Estate

The free real estate cheat is used when you’re either moving a family into a home for the first time or in the menu to move a family from one home to another. When you’re in the neighbourhood screen and the game would like for you to choose a house you’ll want to go ahead and open the cheat box and type in freerealestate on.

The game should let you know that free real estate is on and you’ll be free to choose any house you want your family to live in regardless of price. Your family will keep every simoleon that they have in their family funds and get to move in completely for free.

Money X (Family Funds Cheat)

In The Sims 3 there was a family funds cheat that was extremely popular and every player loved it, there is an equivalent in The Sims 4! This cheat works a bit different than it did in The Sims 3 but it’s still a great cheat to know.

For this one you’ll want to open up the cheat box, enable your cheats and then type in Money X but replace the X with whatever amount of money you want your sims to have.

For example, if you want your sims to have 100,000 simoleons the entire cheat would be Money 100,000 and you’d hit enter and the game would adjust your family funds to have exactly 100,000 in it. This doesn’t just add 100,00 to your money, it adds whatever amount you’d need to have 100,000 total.

Motherlode, Kaching, Rosebud

These are the most used money cheats in the game because they are so easy to use. To use these you’ll want to enable your sims 4 cheats and then type in one of these words and hit enter. Once you hit enter the game will automatically give you the amount of money you asked for.

If you type in kaching or rosebud the game is automatically going to give you 1,000 simoleons added right to your family funds. If you type in motherlode the game will give you 50,000 simoleons directly into your family funds.

Sims 4 Cheats for Skills

There are so many skills in The Sims 4 for your sims to learn and master, but sometimes we just don’t want to learn them the good old fashioned way. That’s where these sims 4 cheats for skills come into play. These cheats are amazing for storytelling and let you skip past earning the skills on your own.

If you want an easier time at cheating things like skills, money and relationships you may want to try out some sims 4 cheat mods instead. These will let you click on things to be able to cheat instead of having to remember long cheat codes.

How to Use Sims 4 Skill Cheats

Every single cheat in The Sims 4 is going to be confusing the first time you see it, so it’s important that we discuss how you actually use these. The first thing you’re going to want to do is open the cheat box which you can do with the following commands:

• PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
• Mac: Command + Shift + C
• Console: All Four Triggers

Once the cheat box is open you’ll want to make sure that you’re controlling the sim that you want to cheat skills for and type in the cheat codes below.

The way that this chart is structured is that each of the sims 4 cheats for skills is going to entirely max out the skill, whether that be 5 levels for a minor skill or 10 levels for a major skill. If you want a different level of the skill simply change the number at the end to a lower number of your choosing.

There are 4 skills for your child-aged sims to learn and all are tied to an aspiration that goes right along with them. In addition to all of the child-only skills that you have access to, there is also the chance for your kids to gain the knitting skill and you can use the cheat above in the skill cheats section for gaining knitting for kids.

These cheat codes will max out the child skill to level 10, if you want to give them a different level of the skill you can change the number 10 to whatever level you’d like.

Sims 4 Cheats for Toddler Skills

All the cheat codes below will max out a toddler’s skill, if you want to put it to a specific level you can change the number 5 (or 3 for potty) to whatever level of the skill you’d like your toddler to have.

Trait Cheats

Trait cheats allow you to give your sim any trait that they don’t currently have, without them having to earn it through the reward store or completing aspirations.

There are both give a sim a trait and remove a trait cheats, the cheats below will add the trait to your sim and if you want to remove it just change the world equip to the word remove in the cheat code.

Career Cheats

Your sims careers are a huge part of their lives and you are able to either demote or promote your sims using cheats which can be extremely helpful for storytelling. All of the following cheats will promote your sims, but if you change the word promote to demote in the cheat it will demote them. I just didn’t want to have two separate charts for essentially the same cheat.

A lot of players in The Sims world absolutely love to build in the game and make gorgeous homes for their sims. To really get great looking houses in The Sims 4, you want to make sure you know a few of these build cheats so you can understand them and make your homes much more beautiful.

Need Cheats

Unlike in past games, there is no way to cheat your sims need individually without a mod like UI Cheats. However, you are able to use a shift click cheat to click on the mailbox to change your sims needs. There are a few options you can do when you hold down shift and click on the mailbox.

You can fill needs entirely for just the household or the entire world which can make your whole house happy in one click. You also have the option to shift click on a single sim and choose make happy to fill just their needs.

Finally, you can disable or enable needs decay by shift clicking on the mailbox so your sims needs never change.

Relationship Cheats

The relationship cheats are a bit more confusing when you first look at them. So, let’s go over an example. If you want to increase the friendship between Bob and Eliza Pancakes by 50 points the cheat would look like this:

If you wanted to decrease their relationship by 50 points you would just need to add an – before the number and it would look like this:

All of these cheats function the same, where you need the first and last name for each sim, the positive or negative number amount and the LTR part of the cheat to make it work. If you have a pet without a last name for the last two cheats, you don’t need to have a last name.

Satisfaction Points Cheats

In the game you a re able to use satisfaction points to purchase reward store perks like not having to sleep, being welcome anywhere and more. You are able to actually cheat to give your sim satisfaction points with the following cheat. You want to change the # to whatever amount of satisfaction points you want.

Aspiration Cheats

Sometimes you may just want to have your sim skip a step and move to the next level of your sim’s aspiration. You can use the following cheat to complete your sim’s current level and move on. Doing this will allow your sim to get the satisfaction points and move to the next level without having to complete the tasks.

Sims 4 Expansion Pack Cheats

With every new expansion pack we are given, we get brand new cheats to learn and love. These cheats apply to things like careers, skills, and other smaller aspects of each pack and can be extremely valuable for a player. There are individual articles for each pack, but below you’ll see all of the cheats for every expansion, game and stuff pack that has cheats.

Get to Work Cheats

The first cheats you need to know for The Sims 4: Get to Work are the perk point cheats that you will apply to your retail stores to make your life easier and make your store run more smoothly.

The next cheats that you’ll want to know for Get to Work are the skill cheats for both the photography skill and the baking skill. The cheats are going to max out the skill but if you change the 10 to any number you can get that level of the skill instead. (i.e., 5 for level 5).

Finally, you’ll also want to know the career cheats for the active careers in Get to Work. There are 3 careers that you can play with your sims including the doctor, scientist and detective careers. These will either promote or demote your sims in those careers.

Get Together Cheats

There aren’t many cheats for you to need to know with The Sims 4: Get Together, there are only cheats for the skills that came with the game which are dancing and DJ mixing.

The below cheats are going to have your sims max out the skill, with dancing being a 5 level minor skill and DJ mixing being a 10 level major skill. You can change the number at the end to be whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

City Living Cheats

There are a number of cheats you’ll need to learn for city living. The first, are the skill cheats for the dancing skill.

The next type of cheat you can use are the career cheats that will either promote or demote your sim in these careers. There are 3 available careers, so six cheats total.

The last group of cheats you need to know for City Living are the reward trait cheats. These are traits that you are going to gain from things like using chop sticks, eating spicy food and more.

The first set of cheats you need to know for Cats & Dogs are the skill cheats. There are two skills to learn in this pack, both the Vet Skill and the Pet Training Skill.

The next set of cheats are the relationship cheats that you can use to become friends with your pets.

Finally, you’ll want to learn the perk points cheats so you can add simple perks to your vet clinic to make your vet clinic run more smoothly.

Seasons Cheats

Seasons is forever one of my favorite packs for The Sims 4 and it has a bunch of awesome cheats to play with. The first cheats you need to know are the career cheats for both the gardener career and scouting after school activity.

The next thing are two skill cheats to learn for the flower arranging skill and the hidden skating skill.

In The Sims 4: Seasons there are a bunch of new traits you can earn or purchase, or just use these trait cheats to gain on your own.

One fun thing about Seasons is the new death types we got added to the game. Using the following cheats will let you immediately have your sim turn from a sim to a ghost. If you change equip to remove you will be able to change these sims back.

Finally, you are able to change the season your sims are experiencing of be able to change the length of a season with the following cheat codes.

Get Famous Cheats

The first set of cheats you need to know for The Sims 4: Get Famous are skill cheats for the acting and media production production skills. You can change the X at the end of the cheat to whatever level of the skill you’d like to have.

You are able to join the new actor career or the drama club after school activity with this pack. You can use the following cheats to promote or demote in those activities.

There are two traits your sims can get from finishing aspirations in this pack, but you are also able to go ahead and cheat to give your sims these traits immediately.

There is a whole tree or things your sims can get including fame perks and fame quirks. Before you can use the fame perk or fame quirk cheats you will need to find a sim ID. You can learn how to find Sim ID here. The following cheats will let you give your sim fame perks.

In addition to fame perks, your suns are able to get fame quirks. The following cheats will let you add fame quirks to your sims.

Island Living Cheats

The first cheats you need to know for Island Living are the career cheats for the conservationist career.

In addition to the conservationist career, we got a few new part-time jobs too and there are promotion cheats for those as well.

You are able to add one of four traits with trait cheats to get them without having to earn them the old fashioned way.

A big part of Island Living is being a mermaid, and you are able to turn your sim into a mermaid or turn your mermaid back into a sim. If you go from mermaid to sim, you may need to also use the hydration to hygiene cheat to fix your needs.

Finally, you have the option to hold down shift and click on your sim and go to sunbathing options to automatically make your sim burnt, tan, or remove a tan or burn.

Discover University Cheats

The first important cheats to know are the career cheats. We got the education career, the engineering career, and the law career with Discover University and you can use the following cheats to promote your sims, if you change the promote to demote you can also get your sims demoted in these careers.

There is one earnable trait that you can get through being in the E-Sports Gamer after school activity and you can use the following trait to get the seasoned gamer trait.

With two new skills, we have two new skill cheats. You can put whatever number of the skill you want (1-10) in the X spot to choose which level of the skill you’d like to get.

Just like with regular careers, you want to get promoted in the after school activities to have a better time, you can cheat it with the following codes.

There are also even cheats to turn your sim into a servo or turn your servo into a sim. This is a weird game, don’t you think?

Finally, there are a ton of cheats for automatically giving your sim a degree in all 4 degree types. There are 13 degrees total and you can get a regular or distinguished degree and a degree with or without honours.

Eco Lifestyle Cheats

The first kinds of cheats for The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle are the cheats to change the neighborhood’s eco footprint.

There are two new careers that you can have in Eco Lifestyle, both the civil designer career and the freelance maker career. You can use these cheats to promote or demote yourself in those careers.

We have a bunch of traits in The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle that you need to earn or unlock but you are able to cheat to get those traits.

With this pack we also got two new cheats. The first is the 5 level minor skill called Juice Fizzing, and the second is a 10 level major skill called Fabrication. You can cheat these skills to whatever level you like by adding what level of the skill you’d like to replace the number at the end.

There are also a ton of shift click cheats for this pack. You are able to go to the community board to instant enact community space projects, shift click on a fabrication machine to get bits and pieces, and shift click on a community board to get influence points. These cheats are super valuable.

Snowy Escape Sims 4 Cheats

The first kinds of cheats that you need for The Sims 4: Snowy Escape are the lifestyle cheats so you can add or remove lifestyles. The cheats have equip in the cheat but if you change that to remove you can get rid of it.

There are 3 skills that you can learn in Snowy Escape, including rock climbing, skiing, and snowboarding. The following are the cheats for those skills. You can change the X to be whatever level (1-10) to get that level of the skill.

There is a new salaryperson career in Snowy Escape that your sims can have. The following cheats will allow you to promote or demote in that career.

With that career there are two traits that you can learn that are actually quite great and can be cheated to get them for free.

In addition, there are reward traits you can get when you complete the aspirations in the game, but you can use the following cheats to just give them to your sims.

If you want to unlock some of the locked create a sim items, you can use this CAS item tag unlock cheat.

Cottage Living Cheats

Outdoor Retreat Cheats

There is just one cheat you need for The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat and that is of course, the herbalism skill cheat. This cheat is going to let you choose what level of the herbalism skill you want. Just change the X to whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have.

Spa Day Cheats

There are not a ton of cheats for The Sims 4: Spa Day, just a cheat for you to be able to increase your wellness skill. This skill encompasses yoga, meditation, etc and is a really fun one to play with. Just change the X to whatever level of the wellness skill you’d like to have.

Dine Out Cheats

The only cheats you need to know in The Sims 4: Dine Out are the perk point cheats that will unlock tons of perks for your restaurant including things like waiters, rushes, and more.

Vampire Sims 4 Cheats

The first cheats you need to know is how to turn your sim into a vampire. There are two versions, one as if you were bit, and one that will just change your immediately.

There is also a simple cheat to change your sim from a vampire to a sim again.

The next cheats are the skill cheats that you need to learn for the vampire lore and the pipe organ skill. For these, you can change the number at the end to whatever level of the skill you want to have. Pipe organ has 10 levels and vampire lore has 15.

In Vampires there are a few traits you can cheat to get to make your sim a better vampire.

If you want to do well in The Sims 4: Vampires, you want perk points. You are actually able to give yourself vampire points with the following cheat so you can get more perks.

The next thing you can do is to increase your vampire rank, there are 4 levels and you can choose whichever level you want.

The next cheats are death cheats to get rid of your vampire either immediately or watch them burn.

Finally, you can cheat to give your sims specific perks in the game. However, you need to find your sim ID to do this which you can learn about here.

Parenthood Cheats

The first cheat you need to know from The Sims 4: Parenthood is of course the parenting skill cheat. You can replace the number 10 with whatever level of the skill you’d like to have.

In this pack there are secret hidden traits that give your sims childhood phases that they will go through for a few days. You can cheat to add these traits to your sims to make them go through them. Just make sure that you remove the trait before trying to add another phase.

A large aspect of Parenthood is the character values system and the traits that your sims can get when they age up to a young adult.

You can also cheat the level at which your sims parenthood character values are at. In the cheat chart there is an X and you can change that anywhere from -100 to 100. 100 being completely full on the positive side, and -100 being completely full on the negative side.

Jungle Adventure Sims 4 Cheats

The first cheat you want to have for The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure is of course the archaeology and selvadoradian culture skill cheat. Just make sure you change the X of this cheat to whatever level of the skill you’d like to have, however, the culture skill only goes to 5 to max it out.

The other types of cheats from The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure have to do with the death by poison. There is a cheat to immediately kill your sim by poison turning them into a ghost, or a cheat to bring them back to life if they are a ghost who was killed by poison.

Strangerville Cheats

There aren’t a ton of cheats you’re going to need to know for The Sims 4: Strangerville but the ones we did get are really useful in being a better sim.

The first cheats you may need is how to promote or demote your sim’s in the military career. The cheat is the same and is simple, but you’ll just change the word promote to demote. To promote your sim you’ll want to use:

The other types of cheats we have are to add or remove traits that your sim may want. There are also trait cheats to add or remove an infection in the game.

Realm of Magic Cheats

There are a ton of cheats for any occult pack like Vampires, Werewolves and Realm of Magic because there is so much going on. You’ll have a bunch of options for changing how your spellcasters function and the abilities they have. The first cheat code you need to know is the free build cheat that is going to allow you to build in the magic realm.

Cheats for Becoming a Spellcaster

If you want to become a spellcaster with cheats you can easily do this so you don’t have to make friends with a Sage and ask them to change you. The cheat to become one is:

If you want to stop being one with cheats you’ll want to use this cheat code instead:

Sims 4 Cheats for Increasing Spellcaster Rank

Increasing your rank as a spell caster is going to allow you to unlock new possibilities and make your character stronger. The base of this cheat is going to stay the same, but the number you add at the end depends on what level of being a spellcaster you want to be. The base of the cheat is, where you’ll change the #:

Bloodline Trait Cheats

When you are a spellcaster who has spellcaster parents you are going to have bloodline traits that can give you benefits when you’re playing the game. There are three of these that your sims can have from weak to ancient. The cheats are going to equip your sims with these but if you change the word equip to remove you can get rid of these traits.

Perk Purchasing Cheats

There are a bunch of perks you are able to unlock for your sims to become a better version of a spellcaster. When using these you’re going to need to know how to find your sim ID since it’s necessary to be added to the end of the cheat.

Add or Remove Curses

The final type of cheat you need to know for Realm of Magic is how to add or remove your sim’s curses. The traits in the table below are going to give your sims curses but if you change the word equip in the cheat to the word remove it will get rid of your curses.

Journey to Batuu Sims 4 Cheats

In the fall of 2020 we were given The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu, possibly the most controversial of all sims packs ever. With this pack there are some sims 4 cheats that can help make your experience better in the game.

The very first cheat you need to know is changing your faction world states. This can be done by shift clicking on your sim, going to Batuu Cheats and going to Faction World States and choosing a different one.

The next is the create-a-sim unlock by tag cheat that unlocks all of the clothing items that you’d find in CAS. There are tons of locked items for Journey to Batuu so using this cheat can let you have access to these at any time.

• Unlock CAS Items: cas.unlockbytag GP09

Playing with light sabers is a big part of this pack but there is no light saber skill that you’re going to need to gain. However, your sim’s fitness skill is going to impact how well you do with your light saber battles. Therefore, you may want to cheat the fitness skill. You can change the number 10 to whatever level of the skill you’d like your sim to have.

• Fitness Skill Cheat: stats.set_skill_level skill_fitness 10

Our next type of cheat will give your sim more galactic credits to make your time more smooth. You can change the number 500 at the end of the cheat to whatever number of credits you want your sims to have.

• Get Galactic Credits: bucks.update_bucks_by_amount 51201 500

Finally, your sims are able to get a bunch of batuu items without effort by simple shift clicking on your sim. Then you’ll want to go to Batuu Cheats and then click on Give Batuu Items and they will immediately appear in your sim’s inventory.

Dream Home Decorator Cheats

There are two sims 4 cheats that you’re going to need to know for this pack. The first one is for getting promoted in the Decorator Career.

• Promote Decorator: careers.promote deco

The other type of cheat you’ll need to know is a create-a-sim item unlock cheat. This is going to unlock all items that you see in CAS but can’t access from Dream Home Decorator.

Werewolves Cheats

Whenever we get an occult pack we get quite a few cheats to go along with it and there are so many cheats for you to know for werewolves. These are some of my favourite kinds of cheats because you can truly customize your experience with this pack and that’s amazing!

Cheats for Becoming a Werewolf

The first cheats are how to become a werewolf which is an easy process if you use the equip and remove trait cheats. To be able to make your sim a werewolf you’ll want to use this cheat:

• traits.equip_trait trait_occultwerewolf

To stop your sim from being a werewolf you’ll want to use this cheat:

• traits.remove_trait trait_occultwerewolf

Cheats for Ranking Up

The next ones you’ll want to know is the XP cheats that allow you to go up a rank. The end of the cheat has a # sign that you’ll want to replace with the number of points you need to get to each level.

You’ll add these numbers to the end of this cheat code:

Cheats for Adding and Removing Traits

There are a number of traits that you can get in The Sims 4: Werewolves and you can use trait cheats to add these to your sims. The traits cheats currently have equip in them which will add the trait to your sim, you can easily change the word equip to remove and it will get rid of these traits for your sims.

Temperaments Cheats

The temperaments your werewolves have are going to seriously affect your gameplay and make your werewolves have more fury in weird ways. You’ll want to have the good ones to make sure you have a better experience.

These cheats currently have equip in them which means they’ll add temperaments but if you change it to remove it’ll get rid of a temperament. If you have four temperaments already, you’ll need to use a cheat to remove one before you can add another.

Sims 4 Cheats for Stuff Packs

There have been so many stuff packs released over the time that The Sims 4 has been around. However, there aren’t a ton of sims 4 cheats for stuff packs considering most of them just have things and CAS items in them, not actual gameplay that requires cheats. Below you’ll find the few stuff packs that you’ll need cheats for.

Romantic Garden Cheats

There is only one thing you can use sims 4 cheats with in The Sims 4: Romantic Garden and that is the wishing well. You are able to edit different outcomes and turn off the cool down on the wishing well by holding down shift and clicking on it. You’ll see a menu appear and you can choose things from there.

Bowling Night Cheats

There really aren’t a ton of sims 4 cheats for many of the stuff packs we get. The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff only has one cheat that you need to know and that is the skill cheat that came with the pack.

The bowling skill is a five level minor skill that can only be earned through bowling. The skill cheat has a number at the end that can be anywhere from 1 to 5 depending on whatever level of the skill you want your sim to have.

• Bowling Skill Cheat: stats.set_skill_level Skill_Bowling 5
